New
England Region
WOC/ET Nurse of
the Year
The New
England Region of the WOCN each year selects a member as the
WOC/ET of the year. This great honor is bestowed on members
who satisfy professional criteria and make a positive contribution to
the practice of WOC/ET nursing. Award recipients are
traditionally honored at Fall Conference, prior to the start of the
Youth Rally Auction.
Each spring a
call for nominations goes out to the membership (please
refer to the nomination form below). Packets of information are
sent to each nominee when their name is received, with a
congratulatory letter. Nominees are requested to write a short
narrative on their practice and obtain two letters of
recommendation. This is then forwarded back to the public
relations committee for review.
The Public
Relations Committee Chair and the most recent three award
recipients review and grade each nominee according to the criteria
below. Presentation of the award occurs at Fall Conference.
