Hello colleagues,
We hope 2021 is treating you well between planning Covid vaccines and staying fashionable in your PPE. So much has changed for all of us as it has with the NER Fall conference and our yearly auction to support Youth Rally.
This year we are turning our fundraising to the web. We want to welcome you to Bidding Owl.com. Bidding Owl is a charity fundraising auction software. It is customized to meet our charity’s needs. Donna Golden has gone above and beyond setting up the NER site.
We need items to auction off. This is where YOU come in membership. We are requesting you donate, just as you so generously have done in the past by bring items to fall conference when we met in person. The items may be new or gently used. The donor gives the item a $ value along with a brief description of the item. The donor also has to submit up to three photographs of the item. You then send an e-mail, with the photos and item description, to Donna Golden or myself, Marian Barry-Ravagni. This information is then posted on the Bidding Owl site. Your donation is given a number. The donor’s information is added with the item, its description, picture and value to the site.
To bid on an item you log into the site and set up an account. The site directs you to add all the pertinent information to get you started.
Items will stay on the site for approximately two weeks for your browsing pleasure. When the item reaches the top bid the winner will log in and set up an account to make the purchase.
The site gets 5% administration fee, this is applied to the winning bid. Shipping is a separate charge and the responsibility of the buyer. All items are sold as is and are nonrefundable. Items will be shipped priority mail flat rate unless otherwise determined by both parties.
Auction is set to begin on March30th thru April 17th
This is a brand new venue for all of us. This is about thinking outside the box to raise money for Youth Rally. It is our hope to continue this site along with our onsite auction at conference when the time is right.
We appreciate your continued support and ask for your patience as we forge ahead into this new territory.
